I always had a weakness for old school elegance and Bottega Veneta are building their repuration on it which is why they are one of my favorite brands. The brand was founded in 1966 but in my personal opinion after it got acquired by Gucci Group in 2001 it become a sensation with Tomas Maier on board as a designer. No wonder it got voted as one of the most beautiful collections of the 2010 spring/summer season.
"Creative collaboration inspires much of what we do at Bottega Veneta," said Maier. "This season we expanded on that fact, designing as if in collaboration with the woman wearing our clothes. In a sense, the clothes are 'blank' until she puts them on."
