"Industrie" Magazine Reveals Their Inaugural Cover Star

I am really curious about the magazine named "Industrie" - it will be on newsstands on May 10th (I am not sure about Dubai)and will feature 196 pages of color photography. As of now, nothing is known about the content, other than it will be “industry focused” and that the cover girl is Anna Wintour.

"Yes, This Manicure Is 12 Days Old" The New York Times

The New York Times feautered a new nail polish that lasts almost 2 weeks with zero chips. I usually go to Nail Spa so I am definitely going to ask them about it and cant wait until it becomes available here in Dubai. Here is the article:

"MANICURES aren’t known for being everlasting. They chip. They smudge. Sometimes a nail is ruined even before you get home from the salon. Now there is Shellac, a soak-off hybrid between a gel and polish that will make its debut on May 1 in 2,000 salons nationwide. The product — the latest entry in a newish category of soak-off gels — has been five years in the making by Creative Nail Design, or CND. The company mixed one-of-a-kind shades for runway models in the shows by Marc Jacobs and Jason Wu this year.Soak-off gels look like polish but last longer, in part because they are cured onto the nail with an ultraviolet lamp. The gel must be applied and removed by a professional, and the procedures cost more than standard ones. A manicurist paints on a base coat, two color coats and top coat, as she would with regular nail lacquer. But after each coat, the soak-off gel is cured briefly under ultraviolet light, so the client leaves with impeccably dry nails.Removal takes longer, though, and may be tricky to do at home. Removal process: Pads moist with acetone or a specially made remover are placed on the fingernail or toenail and worn for 10 to 25 minutes, depending on the brand. Sometimes, a manicurist has to scrape off crumbs of gel. A predecessor product, hard gels, took too long to remove and involved filing, which damaged nails. But soak-off gels, now available in about half the country’s nail salons, are considered an improvement."

From Old Blazer to New Studded Blazer

Ok i had this blazer since god knows when and when I say that I mean more than 5 years. So I decided to make it little bit special with some silver studs left from the belt that I made myself earlier.I tried to add Balmain/military inspired twist to it. I think it will look amazing with destroyed denim :)

Gianvito Rossi - new shoe designer.

When I saw this black sandals with blue ribbon on it I had to know which brand is it from. Well they belong to Gianvito Rossi son of Sergio Rossi, shame on me that i didnt hear about his son designing shoes as well (i am a shoeaholic). The shoes are simply gorgeous.
“My idea has been to make shoes with as few ornamental effects as possible,”“It’s also about bringing the shoe back as an accessory—and not as an object that takes all the attention.” Gianvito Rossi

This quote so represents my mood today.

"She wants to know if I love her, that's all anyone wants from anyone else, not love itself but the knowledge that love is there, like new batteries in the flashlight in the emergency kit in the hall closet."

Dannijo - jewelry - here some of my favorites

Dannijo - jewelry lookbook

Ok I am very "bold necklaces, bracelets, cocktail rings, big earrings" kinda girl :)... You can see me wearing layers upon layers of jewels. So during my search for more beautiful jewelry found brand " Dannijo" - a New York based hand made jewelry founded by sisters Danielle and Jodie. They have really beautiful, unique pieces even though they are expensive I really wouldn't mind owning at least one which definitely will be an investment piece.
