Nobody captivated the world like Marilyn Monroe...

For me she was not just legendarry blonde woman, she was a wise woman and the world never saw that. Here are some of her quotes, which are my favorite….

"I've never fooled anyone. I've let people fool themselves. They didn't bother to find out who and what I was. Instead they would invent a character for me. I wouldn't argue with them. They were obviously loving somebody I wasn't."
"I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go. Things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they go right. You believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart, so that better things can fall together."
"I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best."
"Imperfection is beauty, madness is genius and it's better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring."
"A wise girl kisses but doesn't love, listens but doesn't believe, and leaves before she is left."
"I’m pretty, but I’m not beautiful,I am good, but not an angel. I do sin, but I am not the devil. I am just a small girl in a big world trying to find someone to love."
"Men are so willing to respect anything that bores them."
"Women who seek to be equal with men lack ambition"
"Dogs never bite me. Just humans."

  2. I totally love Marilyn and you are so right with her being so much more than a gorgeous blonde. That pic in the white tulle skirt is my favorite one, she is just amazing in it! (Also wrote about her on my Vinateg blog http://vintagebymeelusha.blogspot.com/2010/01/vintage-glam-and-miss-monroe.html and have dedicated a mini t-shirt collection to her http://meelusha.blogspot.com/search?updated-min=2009-01-01T00%3A00%3A00%2B02%3A00&updated-max=2010-01-01T00%3A00%3A00%2B02%3A00&max-results=50).

Let me know what you think!
